This. I just want to see what it does, by itself, on a relatively mild (~500whp) build.

The stock manifold seems to only be good to about 25 or so psi and will let go at about that point. I actually purchased the conversion kit that was used in Hojin's build. I sold it to him after I had conversations with Sebastian, Tony and Sharif about the conversation kit and the benefits or not to my build. The long story short is the kit makes great low end and on a stock block at the most you want to make is about 560 ft lbs of torque and you can achieve that with a stock manifold. I think there maybe some benefits to the guys and gals with a Stillen supercharger that doesn't come close to maxing out the engine internals but for those achieving numbers close to the max without it, I don't see much benefit. Just my two cents!

But if I can swap to the new manifold and make the same power with less boost and timing, that's less heat and stress on the system even if the peak numbers stay the same. That's why I wanted to see some results when just the manifold was changed.

I really had not considered that other than the additional cost for parts and labor. I think if you are starting with a stage 2 kit or one that has the potential to make big power and the person is going to build their engine in the future it would be a great way to start that process. I also think it might have great application like you are talking about for a dedicated boosted track car as well!

I'm interested in what this is doing for guys NOT maxing out, running lower boost levels, 10-18 pounds ( like me ). And more specifically guys running single turbo systems. Do you have any data showing gains for top mount or BP cars?
The shop Car and Tim's car are both stock motor single turbo cars. Both have made gains of 40whp+ stock for GTR conversion. Both are running low psi tunes. Tim's car was making ~500whp on his single turbo kit and 8psi on the stock intake manifold. Now he is making 540+whp at 8psi... He is also now revving to 8300rpm! He is loving both the GTR conversion and his billet oil pump gear.

Here is what happens... Yes in theory you will run less stress on the engine and make the same power but who in reality settles for the same we all want more HP!

Every customer who has installed this has done so with more HP in mind. Also the Stock intake manifold starts having flow restrictions by 20psi...

Who settles for the same? Those of us who would need a laundry list of parts to start pushing more power. It's a slippery slope. Well, all I need is injectors. Oh, and a fuel pump. Well, if I'm doing the injectors and pump, might as well go with a return setup. Now that I've got the fuel system for it, might as well ditch my MBC for an EBC and turn up the boost. Now I'm pushing the turbos, swap in the larger exhaust housings. Well, since the motor had to come out for that......................... wash, rinse, repeat.

This is exactly what Bullitt is going through right now... New turbo housings, new motor, new fuel system and etc... the list keeps growing lol

Is he making 40 plus hp because of the manifold though or because he's revving all the way out to 8300 rpm ?

Not trying to be difficult, just making sure I understand correctly as I'm in the midst of reworking my setup. This is a potential addition, I like the concept but I want to know if it's worth my money.

Also, the charge pipes on pretty much any kit would have to be modified to work with this correct ? or do the FI ones fit as is

See that you have a single turbo. Take this with a grain of salt, a lot of guys with singles have trouble with the peak power falling off drastically, I talked to a guy at z nationals who had this set up with a single and lost 40whp from 6k to redline. Now my buddy who has a twin set up made 790whp and made power to redline. To answer your post, there was alot of questions about that dyno run to much to get into ( the thread is somewhere). The car didn't really make power to 8k it kind of just leveled off from what was shown on the graph.

Lets go ahead and nip this in the butt... The said client did not give the tuner ample time to tune the car given the issues the tuner faced with his setup. The customer also declined any support from us. We sent over tuning files for Z1 to use to fix his specific issue as we had experienced his exact issue before and have the fix already setup for a single turbo kit. Again let me stress the client (who we also sold his kit for him) DECLINED support! There is NO issue with the product and single turbo applications. We have a clients car in house that is making power to 8300rpm on a stock 370z motor...

For those reading this thread we offer full tuning and client support with all of our products. We stand by them as we use them on our personal cars and test them rigorously.

Thank you,

We have a few of these left in stock and will be starting another batch soon.

If you want more power under the curve this intake is the only real intake solution on the market for forced induction cars. We have over a dozen + cars running these on the road from mild builds to 1kwhp monsters!
