The silicone tubes look like they're pretty snug in there. Are there any issues with them deteriorating from rubbing against the plastic?

Yes. Takes like 15 minutes to remove. Maybe two hours at most to remove bumper, strut bar, old intake assemblies, installing new ones, and putting everything back together.
