Si, i miei amici! E uno avatar d'il site "my370Z.com"---don't laugh at my italiano, huomini! The avatar reminds me when Joe used to be that age, and we used to pray together...I miss that stage in our lives so much (I'm 60, so you know I'm getting all those flashbacks from when la mia moglie--Miriam--and I first had him). In Spanish it's called "nostalgia" ("lontananza"??). I gotta say, you guys are SO friendly! We are Latinos! I hope you don't mind if I ask a HUGE favor from you guys: Would you be willing to coach me in the little italian I know, so I can improve just a bit?...Please? GRAZIE, I MIEI PROFESSORI!!! Whenever you notice an error on my part, correct me, so I can learn, and maybe pick up on what I learned back in 1974!!! Whoa!, that was a l-o-n-g time ago! Benone, i miei amici!
Il nome di la professoresa e Marta Rodriguez, una Portorricana chi si caso (?) con uno huomo italiano. Si ha divorciatto (???). Ciao! Last edited by j.arnaldo; 11-11-2009 at 12:18 PM. |

...Oh!, I forgot to tell you!, my moglie's granmamma (??) was Italiana! Si, Marinelli Mastursi were her surnames! So, we got something in common, huomini Latini! I've been meaning to tell you this, but kept forgetting!

You are one great amico, nickyts! I really appreciate the lessons, dude. Whenever or whatever you wanna learn in English (I'm a teacher of that language) or Spanish (I'm a native speaker of Sp.), you just let me know, and it'll be il mio molto piacere to do it. Benone!
FIRST LESSON: Basic translation (Italian to Spanish): Amico=amigo; buono=bueno/bene=bien; cacciatore=cazador; moglie=esposa; ragazza=muchacha o chica (either way, they're GREAT, ain't they?!); piacere=placer o gusto (?--doubt on this one); genitori=padres; mamma=madre o mama, pappa=padre o papa; professoressa=profesora; anche=??? (I forgot!); bella=bella (just pronounced different); tu sei=tu eres; io sono=yo soy; Spagnolo=español (the Italian "gn" is equivalent to the Spanish "ñ"; in Portuguese it would be "nh", such as in "piranha"; in Spanish, "piraña"; and in Italian, "piragna" (???--correct me if I'm wrong, please); Inglese=ingles; figlio=hijo; sorella=hija; Dio=Dios (THE most important person in the Universe!); signore=señor/signora=señora; addio=adios; amore, amore, amore!!!=amor, amor, amor!!! (il mio MOLTO piacere!); molto=mucho/morto=muerto; Domenico Modugno=Domenico Moduño/Nicola Di Bari=Nicola Di Bari (???!!!--two of my favorite singers); uomo=hombre/uomini=hombres (I don't like 'em, they're just amici!). End of today's lesson, chico. Actually, I ran out of words! Thank you so much, uomo Latino! What does lontananza mean, please? One final issue: In Italian the ce/ci, are che/chi, in Spanish; in Italian the che/chi, are que/qui, in Spanish). Last edited by j.arnaldo; 11-13-2009 at 10:39 AM. |

...so far, I've got a "D-" in my italiano class, man...Let's see what happens as time goes by, 'cause I sure wanna recoup' what I lost due to not practicing it. Thanks for your patience, my friend! Those accents confuse me, too; we use them in Spagnolo, but kinda differently. If I remember correctly, only parole sdrúciole and some verbs (for example, like above, the "é", not "e") are accentuated. Molto grazie, Gibo77!

The verbs are the most difficult things to learn for english peoples, you don't have so much declensions as we have! Non ho ancors postato la sigla API dell'olio che ho messo, come mi aveva chiesto qualcuno, non mi sono dimenticato solo che non ho ancora avuto tempo di passare in officina |
