You got this Fiat Punto trying to pull something a little bigger than it is.

I'm noticing that also.
There are so many awesome cars here on Munich. Considering how much petrol costs here, there definately is a ton of money here.

Wrenise 05-15-2011 03:27 AM

I can only imagine the cost for gas for a resident. With the fuel card, I see what I would have paid at the ESSO vs what I actually paid with the card. Sometimes its at least a $70 a tank difference with the exchange rate. If I had to pay for gas straight with no card, the car would sit in the garage.

kevr6 05-15-2011 05:59 PM

I'm now back at home!! Great trip!! Only saw one 350Z the whole week!! I saw 7 Ferraris, 2 Vettes, a Z8, 2 lambos, an SLS, tons of Audis, Bimmers, And Mercs and Porsches galore. Hardly any Japanese cars.

Wrenise 05-19-2011 05:56 AM

Well,

My Z was destroyed in the Tsunami. Delearship said it shipped prior but apparantly it was on the docks and never made it out.

They are offering me the same that I ordered except in the Blue with Perm interior or and Audi S4 for a bit more.

Not sure what I want to do. At this point I can pick another car.

Corona370z 05-19-2011 12:17 PM

Ooh. Tough choice because you do have other options besides those two. The Audi is nice and might be more financially beneficial since parts and stuff is almost readily available. On the other hand(this is Z driver side talking) a 370Z is not too common out here and I personally love that about it...I like the looks it gets. Good luck with your choice.

If it's not one of those two what else were you thinking?

kevr6 05-19-2011 06:08 PM

I work for Audi but would say go 370Z if you live there. Set yourself apart!!

Wrenise 05-20-2011 12:36 PM

I decided to get a 2011 Infiniti G37 Sedan Sport!!

Its on the showroom floor and I will have plates Friday. Its as close to a Z as you can get, and I can honestly say I havent seen any G37s around.

At least we can still hang out :)

Corona370z 05-20-2011 01:36 PM

:gtfo2: :rofl2:

That's awesome! It's a good mix of the two. I've only seen one in person since they came out. I see more G35 and 350Z then I do the 370Z and G37.:pics: when you do get it.

Wrenise 05-21-2011 03:06 AM

Get the keys Friday.

Wrenise 05-23-2011 12:37 AM

Does anyone want to buy my Front License plate holder. I got the European one and its useless now. Thought I would offer before taking it back to Nissan.

Corona370z 05-23-2011 04:15 AM

I just ended up using the generic one they sell at the auto care center, which surprisingly fit rather well. Might as well get your money back.

Corona370z 07-12-2011 01:24 AM

So there's an "Auto Show" locally here in Spangdahlem AB set up with a free dyno. Any body going to it? It's Aug 6th and 7th.

Mozen 07-20-2011 01:30 PM

I just got orders for Germany Question tho, ive been reading that the DB limit is 90, so im guessing i cant have F.I. LTH and a Catback exhaust and still pass? I know i have to take window tint off as well.

Corona370z 07-22-2011 09:39 AM

Just bring your stock exhaust and swap it for the inspection, I didn't bring mine but I found Animal_Solo and we swaped for like a week and then switched back. Haven't been stopped and I got ARK on mine. Yea unfortunately tint has to be off...

Mozen 08-24-2011 11:23 AM

OK well i just pulled the ARK and tossed it in the Household Goods Shipment...the movers kinda were surprised when they came to pick up my stuff. Full exhaust system, set of rims +8 tires, and a ton of other parts for the car lol.

Ill pull the tint before putting my Z on the boat but i still dont have a date for port. I need to get that figured out soon!

ww77 08-30-2011 03:10 PM

The Ring this weekend?

Anyone feel like heading out to the Ring this weekend. Superbikes will be racing and we can do a few laps while we are there. Planning on going Saturday and Sunday for now.

Corona370z 09-02-2011 10:38 AM

Mozen-Sounds great hopefully you get a date soon and that there are no complications on your move.

ww77-I'd love to go but my car is still in the shop. Should get it by the end of next week.

Yo 370Z team! Dave here in Stuttgart. 2010 370Zw/sport arrives to me on Monday. Car only has 600 miles on it. Metblack with black cloth 7AT. I have the US plate holders on it front and back.

I plan on getting 2 long plate frames tomorrow from the Nissan dealer near my place. Ive seen 1 at work with long plates mounted on the US holder in front and back. I will ask about the Euro plate holder for the front.

Im up for meetings and drives as I love to drive here in Germany. My other ride is 2009 Abarth 500 with a G-Tech ECU and about 170ps! Fun :) Z should be even better :)

Pics of the car from the dealer who had it in Houston. Prior to shipping I had it sent to Baker Nissan North in Houston for a Z1 Motorsports 25 row oil cooler, GT-R red start switch, rear brake light and splash guards. They are a good dealer/tuner in Houston. Z U later :)

ww77 09-02-2011 04:03 PM

The Euro long late will fit on the rear, I just stuck the long one in the middle of the windshield. It took my NISMO just under 3 months to get over here and I will be out of the country on Tuesday for 6 months.

If you have the stock exhaust i strongly recommend getting it installed and ship the aftermarket stuff in your hhg. I sent my truck over there and it barely passed the decibel limit. Actually it failed the first time and took it back on a nice day (it was raining the first time) and passed with no problems. Also, if you don't have cats they will notice. It won't fail you, but you won't be able to go in certain areas. For example, my truck didn't have cats so I wasn't legally allowed to drive in downtown mannheim. They are called green zones and depending on various things you get different numbers which restrict where you can go. No cats= no sticker. And yes the window tint will have to come off the driver and passenger side windows. If your tires stick out from the body they can also fail you for that as well.

DLSTR 09-20-2011 12:43 PM

Team 370Z Germany,

What oil are most of you using and where are you getting it. Is the Nissan Ester avail over here or are you getting it shipped rather than pay euro prices. Any response would be appreciated.

Thanks, Dave

Corona370z 09-21-2011 01:59 PM

I usually use castrol full synthetic but I'm about to use Royal Purple. I get mine from base in Spangdahlem

Corona thanks for the response. Z1 seems willing to ship and oil change kit here with the Nissan ester. I only have 2000mi on my car right now so the first service will be factory (still under warranty as well). I want that(Ester), in the car and then after possibly Red Line or Purple. Have fun and thanks for the reply.

Dave

I ended up using Royal Purple and its nice, temp stayed relatively stable with no oil cooler. It got to 220 at one piont, then cooled off like 10 degrees...and I was still driving. Now I'm not saying its a miracle motor oil because I was maintaining a decent speed (80mph) but it was nice to see the degrees go down not up

Thanks for the response. I am going to use something else later on, after the car accumulates some more use. Royal Purple will for sure be on the list. I added an oil cooler(Z1 25 row) before it shipped over. This area has so many Stau's :)

Corona370z 04-23-2012 06:20 AM

So it has been a while since anyone posted on this. How is everyone? News from me is that my car is unfoortunately in the shop right now because it won't start. The Intelligent Key System light came on and now my car won't even get to the "On" position. But I keeping my head up because I decided that I am going to get some new tires, new brakes, Whiteline Sways or Hotchkis, Eibach or Tanabe Springs and a short shifter. I want to get ready for this summer! I will also be adding some Berk HFCs and the Z1 Oil cooler, I just got them and haven't been able to install them since my car is in the shop.

chrisbeltre 05-07-2012 03:17 PM

All good

This is the first time I've seen this thread. Any news on your car? I just got my SS brake lines today and I have a set of Red Stuff, Eibach sways and rear end links on the way. Getting the Z ready for the ring in July.

Corona370z 05-14-2012 02:20 PM

I finally got news about my car. Nissan will pay for it and they just ordered the part. Ive had no Z for over a month and it sucks. I miss that car especially now since the weather is pretty decent. Hopefully by June I can have it back and I can concentrate on buying more **** for it. Been holding back because I dont know if I have to pay for anything.

pwrhsms 05-20-2012 07:13 AM

Hello German 370Z's just found this thread today. My car gets off the boat the 25th and can't wait to drive it again.

do you guys ever do any meet ups or track days?

Corona370z 05-21-2012 03:11 AM

Since I've been here we haven't really met up. But once I get my car back up and running I think people should. I also don't know who actively looks on this thread. So it's hard to tell if any of this gets seen, since there is very little update.

chrisbeltre 05-21-2012 05:55 AM

Keeping Track

I' always check the thread plus I get emails when you guys post in it. I agree we should do a meet. I will be taking the Z to the ring in July with my car club. Once we come up with the exact day I'll post it in case you guys can make it.

Corona370z 05-21-2012 06:56 AM

Cool. Hopefully, my car will be out soon since I want to take it to the ring soon as well.

Off-topic: Getting emails on things like this irritate me. Kind of like those Facebook groups. Too many emails...

pwrhsms 05-21-2012 10:47 AM

My car docks this friday but due to the holiday on Monday and customs they said the soonest I can get it is next friday.

I have my swaybars, brake upgrade, oil cooler and Uprev sitting at my house. So straight down from Bremerhaven to the auto shop to get it ready to go. I'll be down for a ring trip in July. I plan on trying to make it to a track 2-3 times this year work permitting.

chrisbeltre 05-21-2012 03:58 PM

That's bad *** man, cool paint job by the way. How do you like the whiteline sways? I ended up getting the Eibach set up with the whiteline rear end links. Upgraded the brakes and I'm waiting on this 3G's my state owes me so I can get the oil cooler and my coilovers. Did you tracked the car back home?

Corona370z 05-22-2012 04:42 AM

Good to know your car is getting here soon. I can't wait to see it in person, that paintjob is unique.

Chris-- How does the Eibach sway set feel? I think I might order them with some GF210 Tanabe Springs.

pwrhsms 05-22-2012 12:00 PM

I'm not sure about the sways yet as they are sitting in my apartment. haha I have three mods to put on the weekend i get it back. Brakes, sways and oil cooler. I haven't seen the car in over two years (including the paint wheels and audio system). So I'm pretty excited.

chrisbeltre 05-22-2012 02:04 PM

Corona, the handling is noticeble sharper, I haven't taken it to the autobahn yet to see how it feels at speed. I have the front set up to the stiffes settinga and the rear to the middle setting. When I take it to the ring I will set up the rear to the stiffes setting and let you guys know how it feels.

Corona370z 05-23-2012 02:26 AM

Chris- Thanks! Can't wait to get them myself.

pwr-You haven't seen your car in two years? That's crazy! I haven't seen my car (in the shop) for like 6 weeks and I'm missing it!
