Loud click noise from rear, when shifting park to reverse or drive in auto 370Z

Thanks guys, will look into it and keep all of you updated. It's just a click sound. I really don't feel anything at all and the car responds well. Sent

single click from park to drive / reverse or from park to reverse ? if so id be willing to bet its the axles . ive been down that road with my old g and ive done a couple 350s for friends with the same sound . pretty simple to fix just need a socket big enough to get the axle nut off .

I forgot all about that thread -- thanks for posting.

How common a problem is this...?

my g35 had to be done twice in 60k .. once on each side . but i did them both both times . the second time i used anti seize instead of grease . i was told this would fix it once and for all . the other thread i posted is supposedly a perm fix also by using a diff nut on the axle . i cant vouch for that but it makes sense .

It's just a plain single click from park to drive, park to reverse or from reverse to drive and vice versa. Sometimes it doesn't click but it clicks oftenly.
