ARC has not released these oil coolers yet just the prototype in pics.

The Z34 parts are not moving well enough for them to produce them according to Mackin.

On another note have have Branew, Zele and Stillen pricing all updated on the site!

Hey,is it true that oil cooler will make engine work harder. I heard some 370 owner talk about the engine pressure and equipping oil cooler can harm your engine . Can it do any harm to the engine?

I went to a trip yesterday all the car hitting above 200km/h and my oil temp reached 134C I was really shock on that.

ps. im from Thailand and my English i very poor sry on that.:eekdance:

If you are worried then simply install the oil cooler specified and sold by Nissan for the 370Z. The part number is 21300-SS370.

Hey, thx for ur reply. In Thailand have no Z factory. So my dealer offer me Stillen oil cooler instead of nissan. I really want to know how many of you guys equipped this part and how is it?. Does it make any harm??

I dont think it will make it work harder just as long as it is not over cooling. If it is over cooling the engine works harder to make the oil an ideal temp. Kind of like when you first start your engine and it is cold out, your rpms are at a higher range to get the engine warm. I dont think unless it is very very cold year round this will be an issue. Oil coolers are good not bad. I guess if it was a problem you could find a way to regulate the temp and make the oil system bypass the cooler. Cold oil is almost as bad as super hot oil. The ideal point is to keep a consistant range of temps for the oil. Look at a supercharger, they make the engine work harder and so does a altanator but they are not discarded for this reason.

Hey, thank I will put it in next week after my exam is done, Thailand climate is always around 35-38C even in cold season.:stirthepot:

what about pressure, they said something like engine have to work more harder by sending oil to oil cooler. is it true should I worry about this point?

Mann I really love this club U guys have all the z for my curious

1slow370 03-03-2010 02:42 AM

the pressure should stay about the same. There is a very large oil pump on these cars. The only bad thing about an oil cooler really is if a rock damages the cooler or you have a bad line and it comes disconnected. BOth are rare events but they have been known to happen
