In the process of becoming an Amsoil dealer, looking to gauge interest of the forum
All,
Before I continue, this thread's purpose is to gauge the interest of forum members and purchasing Amsoil products. The intention of this thread is to not preach which oil is best nor turn it into a flame war. AK has allowed me to post this thread, and I would really appreciate it if it was used constructively. As an Amsoil dealer, I will be able to provide access to Amsoil products at wholesale value through a Preferred Customer account. This is how it works: As a Preferred Customer, you have access to all of Amsoil's products at wholesale value. Once your account has been set up by me, you purchase product directly from Amsoil. Amsoil charges $20 a year for this service, and it doesn't matter how much, or how little you buy. I do not see this money personally. According to Amsoil, if you spend $100 a year on Amsoil products, this membership will save you money. Once an individual becomes a Preferred Customer, they are set up with an online account on Amsoil.com. This account provides access to Amsoil products at wholesale value. With this method, Preferred Customers will still pay shipping on their orders. Additionally, Amsoil maintains distribution centers throughout North America. As a Preferred Customer, you will be able to access these facilities in person to pick up Amsoil products. You can still get these products at wholesale value, however, you do NOT need to pay anything for shipping. Amsoil also has 13 distribution centers throughout North America. Their locations are: 1) Anchorage, Alaska 2) Portland, Oregon 3) Edmonton, Alberta 4) Las Vegas, Nevada 5) Wichita, Kansas 6) Dallas, Texas 7) Superior, Wisconsin 8) Chicago, Illinois 9) Columbus, Ohio 10) Lancaster, Pennsylvania 11) Toronto, Ontario So what exactly is the wholesale value? Assuming forum members are buying Amsoil's 100% synthetic 5W-30 oil (group 4, PAO), the cost is $6.75/quart. If you buy a case of 12 quarts, the case will cost $76.65 which breaks down to $6.39/quart. Compare this to if you bought Amsoil from another vendor at $8.75/quart. If you wish to not become a Preferred Customer, I can still sell Amsoil products to forum members at reasonable prices. Thank you all for your time. If you have any questions, please let me know!

I put Amsoil in my Pinto and it blew up! Luckly, I had some Slick50 that put out the fire and restored the engine to it's original working condition. FWIW, none of the first sentence is true at all, good luck!

I'd be interested. Suggestion: Stick a poll up at the top of this thread.
