Easy slick. I'm not a Nissan tech. I have only seen the underside of my own car. Someone who works on and fixes these cars everyday told me this and said that they would check it out and correct anything for free. How is that a "bandaid"?

Lest we forget that MOST(not all) dealer techs are guys who have graduated from the oil change department after taking a year of vocational and a two month "factory training" course on how to use consult3, they know enough to fool you but when something actually goes wrong they end up calling nissan tech line about it because they don't OR AREN'T ALLOWED to actually fix what is wrong. They have to follow Nissan procedure which is only in place to keep nissan from having to spend too much by actually warrantying what is broken. And the service writers are just salesmen they don't chit 3/4 of the time.

The CMC and CSC are really simply parts with metal rods and rubber seals. I think the issue with the z is that the CSC in situation inside the transmission where the heat is much higher and worst of all, the labor cost involves in replacing it because the trans has to be removed.

I replaced my Miata's CSC (external mount) in about 45 min. and the part cost $40.
