I'm trying to get the built awd trans down to 5000 no cores and the built red trans to 3000 but it's been throwing me some curveballs
|
The sequential shift bits have really snowballed in price to get the longevity and easy retrofit ability. I'm shooting to be able to have any manual trans rebuild shop just drop it in with no machining but the speed sensor in the Rev match trans has been messing things up. It might be base trans only

I said I'm working on game changing stuff and I think a budget dog engagement sequential cd009 fits that

I'm probably going to have to work with a shop on it. I don't want to build a ton of them but parts of trans need to be modified. Maybe I could have shops mail me the parts after tear down machine them and send them back. Maybe it'll be too much of a hassle. Need to finish the first one to know

It's still in pieces, I'm slowly rebuilding a fresh awd motor with upgraded headbolts and regapped rings so I don't bust a ring land at 600wheel. Got another motor out getting the block machined for an "oem" 4.0l stroker with gtr pistons and forged rods. The trans is going to stay with synchros for now as liberty is being a bitch with selling me just the faceplates. I will be faceplating my other trans for the vk 260z though once they release them. The awd trans has been a pita at every step. I have had to machine custom parts to get the shifter linkage in the tail housing to even work. I have pretty much decided that if I do try to make another one I'm going to have to basically take it back apart and refine it so it's all machined new parts instead of adapting it. What makes it all slower is the car is 50miles from my apartment.

Well I'm glad it will be an easy process :ugh:
Good luck on the progress  |

Just finished this thread and man!!!Congrats on that.
At this point in time it makes me look back at all of these great builds and it makes me wonder what could they have done if they were in Florida a 0 elevation running M1/M5. Makes me excited about the future of these engines once folks delve into nitro fuels |
