Didn't want to read the whole forum, but in case nobody said it, My car was very stiff with everything when I first bought it. Even with the clutch pedal spring helper, the gears were very rough to get in from shifter to transmission. Now at 6300, everything loosened up and it goes in like butter

Do be careful there, a guy on another forum died a few years ago due to a jack falling. Not jerking your chain there.
