Should I change the oil?
Hi everyone. First a brief intro... :) I ordered my 370 and it was shipped to me via container(I am not in the US). It took around 60 days for the container to reach me. I got it with 18 on the odo. However, since it was not started for 60 days I can imagine that all the oil should have settled at the bottom of the engine. Now I can imagine metal against metal scraping when it was first started. Am I correct? Should I change the oil out or will it be fine?
Thanks again! :) |

Apologies for the thread title. For some reason I pressed something in the middle of writing and it posted. :)
Does anyone know how to change the thread title? I was going to write "Should I change my oil?". thanks! |

Any mods out there that can change the title for me? I would really appreciate it. Thanks! :)

It will be a while before a mod strolls in but if you send AK a msg, he will likely change it pretty quick.

The car should be fine synthetic oil sticks the engine surfaces better than conventional oil.
|
Does the 370 come with synthetic oil from the factory? Apologies for the noob question. Thanks! :)
|
No.
|
^^^ ester oil isn't synthetic?

60 days no big deal. and oil change would not hurt though. I stor a 67 comet cyclone for more then 90 days at a time and no problems with start up. just hit the button and drive it. will be fine

I should say don't change the oil yet. Wait till' you reach abt. 1000 mi. Enjoy your ride pare (bro).

Thanks Shumby, I'm not going to start the oil discussion here. if so I stand corrected.
