Your buddy is probably right about it being a sticky seal (or something else in the pump increasing stiction) but I'd check for corrosion on the electrical connections before messing

Your buddy is probably right about it being a sticky seal (or something else in the pump increasing stiction) but I'd check for corrosion on the electrical connections before messing with the pump. You might get lucky and all it needs is a good cleaning of the contacts.
