CSC and master

ok guys so im getting my oem csc replaced with zspeed HD. nothing went out yet im just doing it before it does so im not stuck and needing a tow. but my question is how long will the oem master last? i heard the HD csc is good but then what it the master goes out again? by the way im still gunna be running stock clutch and flywheel just dont have enough money for new clutch and flywheel right now. i know the trans will be out but i dont have the cash. also if the master cylinder does go out again does the trans have to dropped to fix?!!

The masters seem to last a while, it's just recommended to replace both as there could be contaminants in the system leading to failure of one or the other. The master is not in the transmission, so you shouldn't have to drop the trans to swap it out.

im talking about clutch fluid not trans

yes every time you replace either master or csc, the system needs to be bled properly preferably with new fluid.

jamesj1996 09-02-2014 08:13 PM

**** i litterally just got it bleed

aszyd 09-02-2014 08:14 PM

Yes. You cannot pull either part without losing some, or all of the fluid. Might as well drain it all and replace it with fresh, you can find good DOT 4 fluid locally. Can you perform your own work? Since you don't drop the trans, it shouldn't be too difficult and bleeding is pretty simple.

well trans gonna be dropped anyways getting a new csc. dammit that means i gotta get new fluid and no a buddy at nissan is doin it for me i have no time with work and school and i need it done asap
