Update I drove to work I jut got here 3rd gear wasnt a problem at all . Checked the clutch fluid it was fine and it wasnt black or disgusting like some members have experienced. The temp got up to about 200 last night it was at 220 so heat could be the issue prob not. Also another thing I discovered is when I go into a parking spot in 1st or reverse ..when my foot isnt completely off the clutch but is at its engagement point...I hear like a knocking almost stalling sound but it doesnt stall...thats the update for now ill get back to u guys at lunch break
Your catch point is lower than you think, it's knocking cause if it goes any higher your gonna stall, give it but not gas and it won't knock, and I mean give it a bit more gas lower than usual and work your way up
Well I was afraid to accelerate hard on my way to work today I took it above 3k but very slowly. I dont know maybe it only happens when I accelerate hard. Ive read that an easy way to tell if clutch fluid needs to be changed is if it's filthy black or below min mine wad neither
Literally I prayed last night that it wasn't my slave cylinder. .it cost 138 no biggie but labor....like 7-800 bucks. Im broke rn
That or you might have a kink in ur pressure lines.

update . just drove home . again drove lightly no hard launches and rpms never went over 3500k. didnt get stuck even when temps went up to 220. checked clutch fluid...it wasnt BLACK like some members had when they had clutch issues but it didnt look brand new either. it might just be in my head but the clutch feels a tiny bit softer.
If your clutch isn't fully releasing even with your foot planted, the car will lurch forward or even crawl in 1st. Pedal pressure should be firm with less than 1" of play up top. It shouldn't be mushy halfway. If that's the case, you can try bleeding it.
I've been told not to overfill the gearbox either. This can cause excess pressure in the gearbox and cause it to blow seals. That's what I was told by my tech. For a 2009 with how many miles? It doesn't hurt to switch to better clutch fluid like Motul RBF600. |
