it doesnt matter. I mean if it was like 10 degrees then yea the clutch wont come off the floor on the initial push haha. But yea u Just want to make sure your knob goes into each gate without any effort. When i shift you dont hear it go into the gate it just slides in without any effort.

minsu if u have time maybe like this sunday or something my family owns a chinese restaurant i can hook u up with some food and maybe we can take a look at it ?!

Minsu 07-21-2014 11:05 PM

And yea you want to just get in ur car, and just push ur shifter through each gate back and forth in ascending and then descending order without having your foot on the clutch.
Then start your car and do the same process but this time have your foot on the clutch.
But dont let go of the clutch.... LOL
Then just drive slowly to work while just gently pushing the shifter into each gate, dont force it but dont do it to slow either or ur gonna grind gears.
Then for like the nexxt 3 minutes push the car past 5-6k rpm and shift a bit more agressive. Then when your car is hot from a stop try finding enough space to be able to go from 0mph to about 70 mph shifting at 5k and see if it gets stuck.

it glides like butter when i shift and the cars not moving. its when im driving thats when it happens. and this issue usually happens above 3k rpm low rpm not an issue

Minsu 07-21-2014 11:09 PM

ah hah!

And there we have it, try a different fluid. When did the car have fluids replaced.
Trans fluid, brake fluid, clutch, just all fluids?
Do you have service record?
Also im thinking hotter the car gets harder to shift?! Does that sound about right?

jamesj1996 07-21-2014 11:11 PM

well according to rob the brakes were bled trans fluid and diff fluid changed 300 miles ago oil change 1k miles ago uhm...yeah thats it and nah it happens all the time i drove it today when the temp was at 180 and 220 happened both times

jamesj1996 07-21-2014 11:12 PM

I never drag raced the car once, nor did a burn out lol. But i sold that car with at least 50% of the tires left, so i have no clue what that guy did. That is what worries me the most.

hermmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I guess try starting with the clutch fluid then.

If not, ill set a date, you can drive mine ill drive yours and let see what the problem may be.

But again to reiterate, I really dont think its a trans issue.

And I dont think its a cylinder issue, unless your clutch peddle feels soft. Which I dont think thats the issue.

Clutch was last bled... Hell... Couple years ago. It's worth a shot (was my first recommendation). Remember, I was running Motul RBF600 for the clutch as well. You don't need much to bleed it.

One more question, does it get stuck when descending from fourth at 3-4k rpm as well
Or is it only apparent when your shifting from 2nd to 3rd

jamesj1996 07-21-2014 11:20 PM

re

nope only 2nd to 3rd. 1-2 is good 3-4 is good 4-5 is good 5-6 is good
