What is the part?

Was inspecting under engine area and noticed what looks like some sort of oil seepage under driver side engine area. The other side is similar.

If I had to guess I'd say something is leaking out of those bushings? If you can't see above them where something is dripping onto them, it must be from within them.

Was just browsing older posts, and noticed this one also has some seepage.

I think that part is the front transverse link. See FSU page FSU15 top thru FSU18. Worth a shot, if you are having trouble with it.

Ah yes....The "front transverse link". I do believe those bushings have liquid silicone in em, because I sat a jack stand under it and missed the "front suspension member" and the stand edge went right between the "front suspension member" and the transverse link, pinching that bushing and causing it to leak. Odd that those two Zs pictured have em leaking too...wonder if they're just sh!++y bushings?

I believe Spoon also said they're liquid filled. I asked him in PM and he never replied.

Anyway, SPL makes FKS front impact bushings that replace 'em. :tiphat:

I bought it with 1500miles on her, so it hadnt even had a service yet.

Currently almost 7K miles on her. Not sure, I have no symptons tho.

There are some for sale in the parts by owner thread, spl bushings installed on the arm. I wouldn't wait to replace them. My last car the bushings were almost gone and every time i turned the car would shift a whole lane. Pretty scary when going 65 mph.
