I think it's the ECU whine

Thats what thought after research but noticed its different after watching video of a Z having ECU whine problem. This sound suddenly started so I dont think its normal though..

It could also be the diff or power steering pump. Lots of whining in the car. I just pretend its a supercharger.

If the whine is coming from the passenger footwell area, it's probably the ECM. If it's coming from the engine compartment, it could be a lot of things (injectors, PS pump, ...).

Allegedly, there is also a throttle body whine.

IIRC wasn't the ECU whine issue corrected for or during the 2010 model year?

OP, are you new to manual transmissions, or manual transmissions in sports cars? Could just be typical gear whine.

I have a 2010 and mine whines all the time....

oh, that's the turbo....nevermind

On a more serious note OP there are a lot of noises specific to the VQ platform going on under that hood. I would not automatically assume there is something seriously wrong with it. It is runs, acts normal and they don't find anything you might just be alright.

Nope, i'm not new to manual transmission and my friends who drives manual as well thinks there is something wrong with this noise. They couldn't figure out what exactly is causing the noise
