Default Clutch click

I am getting a click when releasing the clutch, close to the top. I only get the sound when the car is in neutral. I depress the clutch, start the car, put it in neutral, release the clutch, get the click. I pull into the garage, depress the clutch, put it in gear, turn off the car, release the clutch, get the click. No issues moving between gears or while driving. Car off, whether in gear or in neutral, I get the click.

Hi Shuggar,

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like the little switch that detects the clutch pedal fully released is making that noise? One thing to check. That switch also prevents Cruise Control when it's defective.
Another is where is the sound coming from? Under the dash or thru the shifter/transmission area?
I haven't had that issue, but since your car is '12, I'd take it to the dealer under warranty. Use it while you can.

Default Clutch click

Took it to dealer. Determined click was the throw out bearing, they ordered part. Wouldn't you know it the click has gone away. Would you still have them replace the part?

i'd depress clutch 30-40 times and see if the noise returns.
