If it can bottom out can it cause a leak?

If you worried about it, get a bigger oil pan. I use Greddy, someone will come on here and say GTM is better. But whatever

I had my floor jack positioned incorrectly on the center jack point and the car slid off of the jack and caught on the oil pan. Nasty dent in the pan, but no cracks or leaks.

The pans seem to be pretty tough.

YOU NEED TO GET YOURSELF A NEW PAN. the pan is close to the pickup so if you dent the pan the pickup cant get as much oil which is not a good thing.

You pan is the lowest part of the car? You must have a thick spacer on it. Even with the spacer supplied with BPs kit mine is still tucked up a bit from the bracing under the car. I mean its possible to hit it but you would have definitely know it.

The lowest point of my car is by far the crossover pipe that runs under the transmission (also running the BP kit).

I would venture to say no., at least for V1. V1.5/2 might be a different story.

If you could send me some pics of it installed then I could give a more educated opinion on V1

I have a Greddy Oil Pan and it's not the lowest point on the car. I agree with jwick! I had my car way low for awhile and only hit the cross member pipe.

I'm running the Bp kit aswell. My oil pan is definitely lower than the aluminum sub frame. Maybe that crossover pipe is a tad lower like you guys say. But if I ever bottom out my car my oil pan is getting it.
