TCS going off in 3rd gear

Anyone else TCS light go off in third gear when you floor it? I can floor it in first second fourth fifth and sixth and I wont have any issues, but when I floor it in 3rd in blinks, and you can tell it's cutting power by a substantial margin.

This is the third Z that I have that does this, so I'm assuming it's the transmission mount being soft.

Can't floor mine in 1st and 2nd without TCS going off, very surprised it only happens to you in 3rd. Try go around a corner even remotely fast and it goes off as well, so about a week after getting the car I turn it off everytime I get in now, only leave it on when driving in the wet.

are you manual or auto? mines manual.

I was just about to post this as well. I notice it sometimes does this in 2nd at low speed and sometimes on a 3rd gear roll on the highway

Normally I turn my vdc off when on the highway so it doesn't kick in on 3rd

Check your brake fluid level. It has to be full or the low level sensor will kick in on hard acceleration.

The traction control module will initiate when brake fluid levels are low? Seems suspect to me, all due respect, of course.

I'm a manual, I can literally floor it in first without issue, I'm going to check tire pressures tomorrow.

I can confirm this. Both the ebrake "BRAKE" light (in red above the fuel gauge) and the "SLIP" light (in orange in the tachometer display) can come on individually or together to warn you of low brake fluid. The SLIP light will come on solid in this circumstance, while in normal conditions it will only flash when wheel slip is detected. I just topped off my brake fluid this weekend to get both of them to turn off - worked as expected.

When I first encountered this issue a couple years ago, the dealer changed my brake fluid without asking when I brought it in for diagnostics. It solved the problem, so I was only pissed when they tried to charge me for the work I didn't authorize.
