Issues Shimming new Pinion and Diff
So i swapped up and got a quaife diff and at the same time picked up a nissan 4.08 final drive from z1.
The issue im having is there is not a single shop or dealership here in Germany that i can find that will install and shim everything correctly. Every dealership or place i take the diff to refuses to do the work and does not know anyone who will. If i do it myself does anyone have experience to share? Im really running out of options. What i need to do is install the new pinion and shim it correctly for height and then install the diff. I can do the diff no issues but the pinion shims are driving me nuts. Im not sure how to really get an effective reading so i can get this done right. Thanks! |
