im hearing it too now, wondering if its my belts getting old.

I listened specifically for that in my 2009 in my garage, so that I could really hear it hood up, idling and I don't hear any whining. I hear valve/lifter clatter, etc., but that's all. Engine at 200 operating temp.
What frequency is the whine is at? 1K, 3k, 10K, etc?

I vote as someone mentioned that your engine has "evolved" a supercharger as natural selection has decided that BOSS driving now requires it.

Does this happen with the lights on? Because HID ballast's whine and I hear that when I pop my hood in my carport when they are still on auto mode.
