Hey Rob @ TSM, I have a thread on here about the VQ making 400whp, do you think it is possible on a NA set up?

the inlet wall at mid-way from the butterfly and the entry is quite thin and I doubt very much its feasible or safe !! cant wait to see your own result ! ;) |
I've read both Jun and Mines bore theirs to 62mm. Will be interesting if Maxbore can do 65mm.

I only make 304 to (309 RWHP best pull) SAE with bolt ons and 4.08 gears and its a 7 AT.
with motordye 360 intake. it made 2 RWHP more than the stock intake 94 octane 114.7 is my best trap 12.343 best time. based line was 264 rwhp. I wish that it could have 360 + rwhp. the dyno was a dyno jet. elevation 312 ft. I think that your RWHP #'s are way too high. Z |

then you probably mean the 350z HR intake ? with its longer intake runner , it wont make more than the VHR intake, this is irrelevant to the higher result from other shop that claim 340+whp and that 12.343 1/4 was with some uber slick tire. which isn't the usual tire that the average people do... but I agree it seem like our dyno read quite low VS some of the US one .. your baseline was 264 whp on a dynojet and mine was 254whp at APH and then 256whp on a dynapack (SG-motorsport now Onpointdyno) I used after each mod... a gain of 68whp on the same dyno before I blew it on the track. I would love to test my new setup on a VVEL engine!! but will see how much my HR get over them first :stirthepot: |

too be honest i wouldnt do a swap. maybe if i got really annoyed with not being high enough on the 14/ mile et list and wanted to improve my time. also i could probably drop my time with a better LSD. the stock one is good but has it's limitations. |

Been a long time since we saw a good ole "random quarter mile times post" from you Eliminator. Good to see you. |

and it was 4 years ago...

After seeing two dyno results from different shops/dynos/day for my car and having a 20whp difference I don't see them as an accurate tool for measuring. They are just an essential tool for tuning imo.

The car was " killed " by the uprev RPM limiter setting "
it was set for 8100. and during the burn out it hit 8500 rpm,. I did not react fast enough to the rpm. and it took out the oil pump or the timing chains tensioners in the driver side head. No idea why it let it hit that rpm. |
