cabin smell when hard rev
 

Noticed a carbon like smell in the cabin when my revs go to around 6K. Engine currently has 1800 miles on it. Anything to worry about?

maybe check your doors for anything in there that could be the source of the smell. :stirthepot:

Probably nothing to worry about, esp. with it being pretty much brand new.

Catalytic converters burning off excess or something? /shrug Just a guess, I'm not quite the hands on/build stuff car guy to know for sure. :icon17:

new car many things breaking in and smells could be normal.

i dont remember if mine had any smells when i first got it.

Even with my HFCs, I still get that catalytic smell every now and again, and they've got 20k+ on them.

Nothing to worry about. Move along, nothing to see here.
