traction control kicked in once and i lost all power for a couple of seconds but i had stomped on the gas at an uneven point in the road. i say take it in and have them look at it.

is it the first time you guys drive a car with VDC? it's just stupid like that. it's way too intrusive

It's a sensor based system that goes off a number of factors. One of them is wheel spin, another is throttle position, g-forces being applied and which direction, steering wheel angle relative to direction of travel and so on.
It's pretty sensitive. And it reacts VERY quickly. I'll have to drive it on an icy parking lot come winter just to see how/what it does in really poor conditions - lol. I will say this about it too, having it on all the time, it allows you to think you're a better driver than what you are. Try doing the same thing with it off, and it gets pretty freaky very quickly - I still play with mine off, but, I don't try and do anything like drifting or powersliding around a corner anymore. |

When I shift into 3rd gear and floor it at ~60-70mph, the VDC activates and pulls throttle like it's detecting slip. It know for a fact it is not, but for some reason, it thinks its slipping and cuts power momentarily.
I also get the slip light VERY frequently on the 1-2 shift with calm driving. Go figure. Late, Trav |

^Ditto. My VDC doesn't kick in until the tires break loose. I do agree that it's way too intrusive though. It'd be nice if it could just dial back the power a little instead of cut it off completely.

nope i have the stock tires and wheels on. i did however have aftermarket tires and rims on for a short period of time but im trading the car in so i put the stock back on..and thats when the problem started..so it deals with it im assuming there are just no warning light of any sort. im taking it to the dealer friday morning..but im guessing nothing will pop up when they check it considering there arent any warning lights.
