If you shift by side-stepping the clutch pedal. You will get a bang in the dash from the pedal bouncing back against it's stop.

Is that really what it was? I wonder why mine only did it going to 2nd then.

I don't get it now with my Specialty Z 6 puck. It seemed like it was coming more from the engine bay when mine used to do it.

Dunno what side stepping is unless you mean heel to toe but isn't that just for the brake and gas? To be honest I was on a adrenaline rush so I wasn't paying attention to detail. That could possibly be it but I dont know if I dumped the clutch that hard to make it bounce, might have. I'll check next time, cause it did sounded like it was coming from below near the firewall

Side-stepping is when you just catch part of the clutch pedal with the ball of your foot. Behind the big toe. Pushing down on the clutch pedal while shifting, and release it by sliding your foot off to the side. Letting the return spring slam the pedal home, instead of using your leg. When I used to dragrace back in the day. This is the method I used.

Sounds fun haha. Must've been burning a lot of tire though. I dont have that much money to be grinding through tires
