Idle noise
I've noticed when my car idles it has a loud rattle. Like a cemet mixer sound people describe with after market clutches. The noise sounds like its coming from the gear box can't really tell. It kinda sounds like gears are shaking inside lol. I know this is normal to a degree but its kinda loud and sounds like my car is an old hunk of junk

Auto or Manual?

6speed baby

Depress the clutch pedal... does the noise go away?
Yes it does.
normal :tiphat:
Does it have a lightened flywheel? Mine chatters like a sonofabitch, but that's expected with any lightened unit.
My stock unit had a bit of a rattle as well. Both on my old hr z33 (same clutch/flywheel setup) It gets worse with age, but normally nothing to be worried about. |

God forbid you go with a lightened one piece flywheel. Then it'll really sound broken. :rofl2: |
i just pretend she is talking to me. but her voice is annoying so i shut her up by pushing in the clutch.
Definitely a 'feature' as it's the same on my G. Mine is much worse after a good spirited driving session but typically present.
same here, i always notice it after a good romp when im sitting waiting for the gate to open at my apt. i feel like a tractor ...
Lmao ^^^ exactly the same time I notice it. And my gate takes soooo long to open
Mine does the same thing, once I installed the lightweight flywheel is when it got embarrassingly loud!! :-/ it's definitely normal with our transmissions and unfortunately there's really nothing you can do to eliminate it completely. Every time i pull up to a stop light Im so tempted to just keep the clutch pedal on the floor in order to save myself some embarrassment due to my car sounding like an old bucket of ****, but clearly it's not so I've learned to live with it... Lol
