How much for installing?
I'm working on putting together a package.
Engine Oil cooler, upgrading the steering cooler, Suspension, upgrade some of the brake parts (rotors F/R) SS lines, lighter crank and alternator pulley. HFC / Y pipe / catback, an intake, a tune, a before and after dyno runs. I know how much I'm going to pay for parts, but i would like to know how much ruffly I'm going to pay for installing these parts? Thanks. |
You need to get a shop to quote you...That's a lot of stuff...Looks like 25+ labor hours offhand not including the dyno and Tune. 25 X $$labor rate will get you in the ballpark. Add $500+ for the tune and Dyno time..

So around 25 hours. OK
Thanks :) |
Also remember that shops usually charge different rates depending on if you buy the parts from them, or if you buy them elsewhere and bring them in to do the install. Be sure to ask that question before you start ordering stuff.

^ Got it

DIY is the best way to go if you have the knowledge, tools and space. Otherwise you'll be looking at a pretty heavy price tag. You might get a deal from ordering through them though.

^ That's the sad part. i got the knowledge, but don't have the tools or the space.
I'm going to miss the fun installing these parts (I'll ask the shop if they will let me work with them on the car). There's going to be more stuff in the future for this car. by then I'll have the tools and space. |
If you can find a friend that has the space to accommodate you for a couple days, you should put all the money you would spend on the install into a good set of tools. that way you will have all the fun of DIY and have a pretty nice set of tools to boot.

+1 on that!!
