Possible AT gear swap/cruise control fix

Ok, so I swapped my gears & found my cruise control just blinking at me when I tried to engage it.http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/smilies/piss.gif. I was about to just accept this fate, but then I started http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/.../confused1.gif & http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/smilies/idea.gif I decided to perform an ECU reset via the tap dance on the pedal method found here http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...ve-method.html to see if by chance it might work http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/...iley_dunno.gif. Well I am happy to say it did :happydance: . After resetting the ECU I started the car & let it sit in park to warm up & then set the cruise control to on before shifting into gear & it didn't blink. Then I started off got up to a little speed & engaged the cruise control set point & it worked. Then tried to use the accelerate button & it worked. I then tested turning off the cruise control altogether & then later turned it back on & it still continued to work. stopped the car shut off the engine, restarted driving & turned on the cruise control again & it is still working.

It worked for me, Who knows maybe it'll work for you.

YMMV

I was capable to do the same but up to a certain speed the cruise would stop functioning.
it was different with every gear I used ... 3.5 / 3.7 /3.9 with the 7AT

and no im not talking about the actual OEM cruise limit speed which I think is like at 160km/h

3.692. Car feels great, no more lag between the gears.

I got the manual open diff, knowing I would be putting in the Quailfe ;)

@Felix: so adding those gears adds more power or it helps utilize more better the power you have to the wheels?? Reason I ask is because I am considering adding this mod to my nitrous build.

In essence it adds wheel horse power. The gearing is a horsepower multiplier. Problem is that if your gearing is too aggressive or if you have too much power, you won't be able put the power down because you just won't have the traction

Very Cool... Was yours a 7AT "Sport" to begin with?

I was told by another member if you have a non-sport 7at and swap it out for a "sport" manual rear diff you are set with lsd.

Who installed your Quailfe?
