I was able to do the install myself with hand tools and a 4' pipe. You WILL need to remove the radiator fans and move the overflow tank, but not the radiator itself. With those items out of the way, I could release the tension on the belt with my 1/2 breaker bar + 3/8ths adapter (to fit in the tension socket). Then loosen the bolt from the top of the engine bay with a 19mm impact socket attached to the breaker bar, covered by the four foot pipe for leverage. I also had to lock the drive shaft against the frame with the OEM tire iron (this tip is posted somewhere on the forum). I was able to remove the pulley by wedging the breaker bar between the engine and pulley and wiggling it. It eventually slid off without too much force. A pulley puller might be a better choice. The NST pulley slid on with no effort. I didn't install the overdrive alternator pulley, as it appeared that there was no way to remove the OEM pulley without an impact wrench. It spins freely and I was not willing to figure out a way to stop it from spinning, for fear of damaging the alternator itself.

Hey guys. Just received my pulley kit today. I ordered black, but was sent blue. This is not a big deal. I ordered the CR-Lite pulleys, and just wanted to make sure that I received the correct pulleys and not the underdrive pulleys. Is there any way to tell? I am only worried b/c I received the wrong color, which could mean that I received the underdrive pulleys instead of the CR-Lite pulleys. Thanks.

I think you got the right one because the openings are different on the ud pulley. Why did you get an alternator pulley if you aren't going ud?
Look back a few posts and you'll see what I mean.

Interesting that they didnt brand their Lite set. you can always put it up to your current pulley and compare the sizing.

So i got mine a couple weeks ago and the build quality is very nice and clean.
![]() A few words of advise when pulling the old one off.
The stock pulley is CRAZY heavy... ![]() ![]() Losta room with the fan out ![]() ![]() Make sure you're in 6th gear or this will happen ![]() And dont let the wedge rest against the control arm or this will happen ![]()
