This is a really old post from NST, but claims they put the timing marks on all their pulleys. I guess you could always send them an email they won't respond to :ugh2:

NST is such a clusterfuck I'm so glad i got a refund.
|
Mine don't have timing marks either. Will that be a big problem?
|
Timing marks would NOT be an issue as the ECU sets the timing (VVEL) and it can very depending on driving conditions. I could see there being an issue if this was a 1990 Oldsmobile and not having the timing marks.
Point = Timing marks are not necessary |
:iagree:

cool, good to know

Got mine. Interestingly enough, there's no mention of a second package coming with my belt.

these pulleys just run accesories / pumps.. nothing to do with the cams / timing?
|
The larger one is on the crank shaft, but the older ones actually had to be set up for the correct timing.

Got mine!! I knew NST would come through for us!! I'm stoked on these, almost forgot about them a couple times! Thank you for doing right by your word mike.

Still haven't heard anything yet. I emailed them twice over the last few days, and no response. It looks like there was a total of 31 people on the group buy. NST claims to be "The leader in sport compact, lightweight aluminum, crankshaft, alternator, and waterpump pulley development". How could the leader not be able to produce 31 pulley kits in over 4 months???

Since receiving my pulley set and noticing that there aren't any timing marks on the crank pulley, I sent NST an email asking about the missing timing marks and got this:
Hi Bryan, The NST crank pulley does not have timing marks at this time. If the crank pulley is installed correctly (simply remove OEM pulley and install NST pulley without changing position) timing marks will not be necessary. Re-timing the engine after a pulley install is not necessary. Thank you. Just figured I would share with everyone who got a set from the new batch :) |
Yeah I didn't point that out in my last post. There's only one way to install the crank shaft pulley so timing marks are a moot point. The pulley has a groove so that you can't install it wrong.
Funny though how they got right back to you on that. Zdayz 2014!! |
i just asked about my belt as well and got this respose for anyone who is also waiting:
