Thank you for all the continued support you've always showed us, sir!

MIKE @ NST

There were other companies, but they were either way high in pricing or did not want to back their product on a FI'd car.

Zmonster11 11-13-2013 04:26 PM

So does this mean that there is no more underdrive/overdrive pulley kit option no more for the this group buy, just the OEM light weight pulley kit? or are they both available in this group buy? I personally want the underdrive/overdrive pulley kit with the Belt. I guess I would have to pay regular price?

nissan_fan 11-13-2013 09:23 PM

What sort of gain will these light weight pulleys yield?
I wanted the under driven set because at some point I want my Z to be my track car.

Dyno charts are in the first post.

nissan_fan 11-13-2013 09:40 PM

I thought the dyno sheet on page 1 was for the underdriven set.

Sorry, I thought you were asking about the underdriven pulleys, which are also lighter than OEM. :tiphat:

I wouldn't expect a lot of hp gains from the OEM sized ones, just improved throttle response.

nismo13807 11-13-2013 10:01 PM

so whats the pros and cons between the lighter oem pulleys vs the under and over drive pulley? whats the weight difference and power?

nissan_fan 11-13-2013 10:05 PM

No problem Chuck. I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my question anyways.

SS_Firehawk 11-13-2013 10:11 PM

I would guess around 5-6whp from OEM size. The biggest thing is guys who are supercharged like myself or anyone who doesn't want to slow down anything running such as the power steering pump or water pump. Most of the gains come from the weight savings.

This is correct. Most of the gains (hp, tq, response) come from the apx 70% weight savings. The 10% underdrive yields just a little bit more, but not much... maybe another 1-2hp max. The great thing about our underdrive kit is/was the fact that it includes two pulleys, hence more weight reduction.

We are now offering two pulleys in our new CR-Lite (oem size) kit. This kit will yield the kinds of dyno numbers you see on page one of this thread. The pluses are, 1. compatible with all setups: naturally aspirated, turbocharged, supercharged. 2. no need to swap a belt. 3. max weight reduction.

As I stated earlier, the demand does not seem to be there for another production run of our old underdrive kit, hence this attempt to get the GB going with the CR-Lite (oem size) kit.

I certainly hope you guys stay on board with this and help spread the word to get us going. Thanks everyone!

OK GUYS & GIRLS, UPDATE!

As you guys know, our deadline for this GB has come and gone. We needed 20 members for this, and unfortunately didn't reach 10.

0. NST - Red Kit
1. Red_Z - Red Kit
2. Minato - Red Kit
3. nismo13807 - Red Kit
4. Huck - Red Kit
5. syntax1269 - Silver
6. Zmonster11 - red kit
7. csprad12 blue kit
8. nissan_fan blue kit
9.
10.

Sadly, this indicates there isn't enough demand for an Underdrive Kit GB at this time.

I don't want to drop this idea completely, so I'm going to propose another idea...

WHAT IF we continue this group buy and switch to a set of lightweight OEM size pulleys (no underdrive, no overdrive.) A lightweight OEM size kit would be compatible with all setups; naturally aspirated, turbocharged, supercharged. Such a kit would also be compatible with your OEM belt, no need to change your belt would also save you another $30 or so, this should help holiday wallet concerns.

An NST CR-Lite (OEM size) Kit would include two pulleys, crank + alternator, and would be about 75% lighter than the OEM pulleys. Price would be the same, and of course, all the custom colors and the free candy would still be in play.

New signup deadline: November 27, 2013.

If we hit 20 members ONE lucky member would still receive their kit free of charge!

I look forward to your replies. If interested in jumping in on this, please copy the latest list above and add your name to the next open spot.

Huck 11-13-2013 11:43 PM

Well dang. Honestly I would much rather a set of underdriven pulleys since I already have a still en lightweight crank pulley. So basically I'll be paying $200 for an alternator pulley. I may stay in, let me think about it and if I'm out I'll update my status. :ugh:

Zdayz 2014!!

SS_Firehawk 11-14-2013 06:03 AM

Corrected... Below.

Huck 11-14-2013 06:44 AM

Oh sweet, thanks for clearing that up Firehawk! Definitely still in then.

JUST TO CLARIFY:

This group buy is now only for the CR-LITE PULLEY KIT (oem size, lightweight).

There is not enough demand at this time to run two separate production runs and offer both pulley kits at the same time, hence the decision to go with this kit, because it is compatible with ALL setups.

I really think you guys will be very happy with this kit if we reach the required number to go into production.

JUST TO CLARIFY:

This group buy is now only for the CR-LITE PULLEY KIT (oem size, lightweight).
