Dealerships can install most of the parts. Some dealers seem to have some issues with the Gen 3 intakes because they don't read the instructions. I have never seen a dealership with a dyno for tuning so I would say no.

Most companies will not provide this type of guarantee on parts that are very similar for several reasons.

1) Dyno numbers of parts, if not mounted while the car is on the dyno and the car stays strapped down will very slightly.
2) Temperature, humidity, and pressure all change your dyno numbers. So depending on the time of day the pulls are done the number will change a little.
3) Dyno numbers can be manipulated to show more of less gains and unless both companies are present I don't see them agreeing to this from a non-credible third party.

If you want a guarantee that (for example) the Gen 3's will make more power that the ______ Brand short ram intakes, we will do that all day. If testing has show very close numbers though there are too many variables for most companies to feel okay with a guarantee.

I'd just like to see what "a tune" will do for me.
I have Stillem G3's, a Stillen UD pulley, a Stillen CBE, a Stillen front bumper, besides that, test piptes and Momentum Headers.
I just want to see a tune get me xxWHP for the cost of a tune. (I know other parameters are played with, but I'm just wanting to measure WHP)

With those kind of mods, you should be able to get around ~15 whp throughout the power band with a good tune (maybe more). We got ~15 whp on a 370Z with similar mods (but Gen2 intakes) here at STILLEN and my tuner said he could get more with Gen3's. If you want to bring your car in for Dyno Tuning contact me directly.

Look more at area under the curve. You'll only make a few hp up top, but the increase under 4-5k rpm will be much more dramatic.

I agree for sure. Total gain of area under the curve is what you're really looking for

I'd gladly pay for tune if you got me 15WHP, do you guys play with the VVEL at all?
And get your manager on board, let's put Stillen's money where their mouth is, lol

Better yet, let's sponsor it; I already bought all my parts at retail

No to HiJack the thread but why not STILLEN HFC DEpointfive0?

Team_STILLEN 12-16-2013 04:37 PM

We can get you the 15 whp on the tune and probably more torque than that (assuming your engine is in good shape). We are too busy at the shop to do a sponsored tune but I will do what I can for you.

On a side note, if you have test/race pipes you will need to get the car towed off the lot. Because of our CARB permits we can't let non-road legal cars drive off the lot.

Can a person bring a friend and push a car off the lot?

Team_STILLEN 12-16-2013 05:59 PM

Sadly no, it has to be towed off the lot.

GSS138 12-16-2013 06:45 PM

Can I show up with a rope and tow him in my 370? I am 10 mins away in Mission Viejo :).

What if my car has TX plates?

Team_STILLEN 12-16-2013 07:02 PM

You still have to tow it out of here.

Tell me when the CARB guys aren't working, or just leave my car parked outside. I'll "steal" it in the night, lol

If something can be worked out, I don't mind getting a tow

GSS138 12-17-2013 08:11 AM

Stillen good to know you guys do Dyno there, I am looking for a tune as well. Maybe I'll come up there when DE does.
