Question GREAT, please confirm my beliefs!

I've just about had it if my thoughts become truth. I have an '09 with 27,3XX on the clock. I hop into my car today, didn't notice anything different. Run some errands, hop back in, and my clutch now has two "engagement levels (what I'm calling them)." I push a little less than halfway, nothing, then it clicks into the engagement zone (the second half to the floor), and comes all the way back up. However, this is a totally new feeling. I always had one solid push and then one solid return.

I used to never be able to really easily push it in with my hand...until today. Dad even said it noticeably feels different. I swear to God if this is the clutch failing I'm done with Nissan. I had the dreaded steering wheel lock issue and was on the hook for that because I'm out of warranty simply because of the years (absolute BS in my opinion). Luckily, I ripped consumer affairs a new one and had that covered by them.

I start my first career job this upcoming Monday and it's in sales, so of course I'll be driving a lot and NOW I get this. I don't even have time to take it in to them to evaluate because I'm leaving town tonight until tomorrow. Does this seem to fit into the sticky thread for the CSC? Am I really going to be on the line for a new clutch now?

Kill me.

Just relax.
The steering lock WAS recalled.

And sounds like CSC, will be covered under the power train warranty

I called Nissan and the man said it may just be fluids. I'm just stressed. I'm all spent from the new job starting and had my first horrible winter experience with my car and will likely have to trade it in. I'm hoping to survive this winter because I'll be able to afford the car I want around the fall...but whether the Z can actually survive this NJ winter is another story. So safe to say this is the last thing I need.

Thanks DE for always have a quick response. If you remember though, the lock wasn't recalled at the time of my battle with them, lol.

Please tell me this doesn't mean you're trying to drive your Z in winter conditions on summer rubber.

Oh, and DE, it's not covered. Go figure. Unless this service dude writes it up as such. That's my only chance.

It's covered under the 5 year/60k warranty. Don't let them feed you bull.
Someone else just made a thread for this and these was a linked post to another thread

Alright. I'll be sure to say that when they call me back. Any link to that thread? I literally cannot afford replacing it right now.

Just called. No 5 year 60K because it's wear and year. They have a 3 year 36K which kf course I'm a year out of. Told me to do the consumer affairs battle again. I'm done with Nissan, never again.

failing hydrauilcs is not wear and tear. IT's bs ream someone out. The bearing is a wear component it should not fail until the bearing is shot. if it were wear and tear it would state it in the maintenance schedule.

its powertrain. It has been done under powertrain before, you're going to have to call nissan if your dealer is playing games with you. They will try to tell you it isn't warranty because they can charge you more than nissan would pay them for warranty. Nissan will pay for it you are just more profitable.
