^holy hell now that is complicated, i like the go to lowes, ace, HD pick up a solvent pour some in shake and drain method, especially considering it will be like new when done. also a gallon of mek at lowes is $22 and will flush A LOT of cores, running the car and changing all the fluids later is going to cost you a hell of a lot more considering how much one quart of decent oil costs and you'll be throwing out 5, then there's the diff, drain and fill on powers steering, the trans, its gonna cost a couple hundred dollars to flush all those systems.

A single, good flush should be enough. The rest is "on the safe side" and overkill stuff.

I don't recommend using solvents but, as long as it evaporates with no residue and is compatible with the cooler materials, it will expedite the process. Use proper PPE and maintain good ventilation when using solvents.

Edit: If a little old fluid is left in the cooler, it won't do much harm (dilution will help protect you). If you don't get rid of all the solvent, it can harm the fluid (thin it out or react with it). A good bake & purge will make sure you get rid of all the solvent.
