Idle Issues after washing engine bay.

So i did a full engine bay detail. Used some mild cleaner. I also relocated some wire harness's but was very careful.

The car will not at all idle right. Bogs up and down.

Ive cleaned the MAF's checked every single connector and nothing seems off.

Ive tried doing the "Idle air volume learning" and nothing works

Please help!

What was the problem?

ElVee 11-19-2013 08:12 AM

Yeah, would love to know the problem so I can avoid it.

Yes. Please post what you found and how you fixed it. It will come in handy for the next person that runs into that problem. Plus, I'm curious.

I was doing a wire tuck and mixed up bank 1 and bank 2 connectors on the front of the motor. Stupid mistake but they are the exact same connector. Stupid nissan could have made them different.

Anyways if you mix them up the car wont idle right obvioudsly.

Feeling stupid but oh well....

I'd call it "careless" ... I've made too many similar mistakes to use "stupid." ;)

Thanks for letting us know.

There is two connectors on the front of the motor (bank 1) and (bank 2). Now nissan made the connectors the exact same. Just had them swapped.
