Throttle body warmer. .

there was a new update on a diff forum saying for the people down south. where the car will not be in cold weather... there is the throttle body warmer

Default Throttle body warmer. .

there was a new update on a diff forum saying for the people down south. where the car will not be in cold weather... there is the throttle body warmer and u can bypass it in order to keep you cold air intake commin in COLD. and also reduce engine heat . this will no boost HP in any big way but will make engine run smoother.. . .


is this true ??

Already did it. Obviously, the changes are tiny. You might save a tiny bit of intake air temp/density post-MAF-sensor, maybe, at certain brief times before the whole area becomes heat-soaked anyways. And get a few extra hoses out of the engine bay. On the other hand it's easy.

My motorcycle has a coolant line that runs through the carb. Strange, since you'd imagine a bike not being ridden in temps where icing would be a problem, but what do I know.

I've though about plugging the lines, but, as wstar posted, it wouldn't make much more in terms of power, but it would save some (minor) weight.
