Delay in the Engine oil temperature gauge?? Please provide Feedback!

If you need to add two quarts of oil, that means you don't have anything showing on your dipstick. I don't see how you could be burning that much oil

If you need to add two quarts of oil, that means you don't have anything showing on your dipstick. I don't see how you could be burning that much oil in a month, unless your car has a Wankel.

I think there is nothing abnormal with that!
If your level was truly at the lower acceptable limit and you added 2 quarts, I'm almost positive you overfilled. By lower acceptable limit, do you mean the bottom of the dipstick? That would make more sense. Otherwise you likely overfilled. Check it again and report your level. You shouldn't drive your car with 1 quart overfilled.

- Make sure you are on level ground.
- When checking the level, wipe off the excess from the first one or two pulls.

If the level is fine and you really burned off 2 quarts, like others have said, there is a big problem and you should take it to the dealer.

Also, I just noticed you said 2 liters not 2 quarts, if its 2 liters, you actually put in about 2.1 quarts.

I suppose you could burn some oil during break in. But if you are going through 1 qt per 1000 miles, I think that is crazily excessive. I've only had my 370 a few days, but I will keep an eye on the oil level. My 05 350 has never lost any oil and still doesn't at 48k miles.

The only vehicle I've ever owned that went through that kind of oil had a leak in the rear main seal. A new car that burns that kind of oil is a lemon and there's no way I would keep it.

After adding two quarts (2L)

(I like my representation! )

Honestly guys, I don't see anything abnormal here! It's been that exact same with my 350z
