Default New oil cooler way for the 370z!

I haven't seen this done yet so I thought I'd post it up. Its nothing special, just different fittings I can guarantee won't fail. I've seen the press on barb fitting setup and the stainless steel hose screw on setup. Both I think I read failed do to the hose coming off the fittings. Now this might have been user error and not enough slack in the lines but here goes this way...

My setup will be same stuff you probably saw before...

Tru-h7b- 48 row true cool oil cooler- $79.99
Aer-fcm2039- 90 degree elbow 1/2" to NPT -10 fitting x2- $22.16
Moc-2bm810a- 1/2" to -10 BSP fitting pair- $15.99
Moc-sp1ft- 20mm thread 180 degree sandwich plate- $86.95

Now for the new,

FJX-08-08R14- straight 1/2" hose clamp to 1/2" JIC 37 degree fitting x2- $18.50
FJX90-08-08R14 - 90 degree elbow 1/2" hose clamp to 1/2" JIC 37 degree fitting x2- $23.04
R14T-10- stainless steel -10 Teflon hose 10 feet- $51.40

The old stuff can be bought from racerpartswholesale.com like before and the new stuff from hydraulicsdirect.com.

See AN fittings use a 37 degree seating surface on the inside. The JIC fittings for the new stuff also use a 37 degree seating surface and will work fine.

The difference in all this will be how the hose attaches to the fittings. You will need to go to NAPA or a machine shop to have the fittings crushed onto the hose but once done these are fittings that are made for this Teflon SS hose but also made for hydraulic systems that will see thousands and thousands of PSI making this the most secure setup you could do! And to boot this hose and fittings are cheaper than Aeromotive fittings!!
