Whats the best Short Throw Shifter for the 370z?

I am looking to get a short throw shifter and wanted to get some feedback and pics of before and after from those members that have one or know of one they like...

I have the B&M shifter and like it. It still does not feel as good as a TR3650 + Steeda Tri-Ax, though. Close, but not as good. :)

I see that the most popular one seems to be the B&M's Precision Sport Shifter PN 45163...

but I am NOT paying 200.00 bucks thats just too much!

any others out there?

It's quite a bit shorter, especially if you go with an aftermarket knob.

That's what I paid from Stillen. I don't know who else sells it.

nice thanks, i'll check them out...

stillen has it listed for 230.00

was it a group buy or a pm'd price?

theDreamer 08-11-2009 08:01 PM

If the Stillen price has gone up, I think it was a short deal, then check out Intense Power.

Good find!

Yeah, I bought it from Stillen when they had a pricing special going on.

I think it's worth the $179. Just bear in mind that you'll need file away a little bit of metal on the shifter-mount in order to allow the short-throw to engage reverse.

 is that a known issue with b&m?

m4a1mustang 08-12-2009 06:04 AM

It's a requirement. If you don't file, you won't engage reverse. I'd imagine others would be the same?

Are there any short shifters out there that don't change the height of the shifter and are just a linkage short shifter kit?
