Engine making clapping sound, is this normal?

Hopefully people can hear the clapping sound in the background. My baby behaves like this when oil temp goes above 200F. Wondering if this is normal? Please help. Thank you.

Try popping the hood and making another recording. I don't hear anything abnormal but I don't hear much of anything in your vid.

theres metal clapping sound in the background. it is kinda not as loud as other sounds

do you have a different cluth or flywheel? it almost sounds like that

Stick your head under the car, pop the hood, &c and see if you can narrow down where the noise is coming from. A paper towel core or similar held to the ear can help narrow it down even further. Be careful around a running engine - there are moving parts that will hurt you.

Thanks for the advice. i just hope i dont get burned

I will update with another video later on since I dont drive it everyday nor drive it far

It's either the clutch or the valvetrain/injectors/VVEL. The top end of this motor is noisy.

i can only make out the flywheel/clutch chatter, but you said its at certain temperature so.. I could be wrong

Burns should be the least of your problems, unless you get in a big hurry. You won't be grabbing and shaking things like you would when looking for a rattle. The parts that are really hot are putting off enough IR that you will feel the heat before you get too close. Clothing, jewelry, fingers, elbows, &c can easily get snatched by moving parts before you can blink an eye.

I don't recall if the noise went away by depress clutch but definitely gone when i step on the gas.
