Clutch

For those of you who have had their car for a while now - curious how long your clutch lasted. I'm at about 60K and its starting to show signs of giving way.

i had mine replaced for a JWT clutch at 30k miles and the dealer said there was about 2/3 of the clutch remaining

If you drive it properly, I'm sure the OEM clutch can easily last more than 100k. My dad has a manual Tacoma and he's at 200k with factory clutch.

If your Z is showing sign of wear at only 60k, I think you're using up too much clutch.

Is the Z your first manual car?

i disagree here. you cant compare the clutch used in a truck versus a sports car. im nearing 60k on my nismo with only the CSC being replaced at 24k miles and the factory clutch left in because nissan said it looked good with no signs of abuse. but at 60k im staring to worry everyday if im starting to feel any slipping. if i get another 15k out of it i would say it did its job being a clutch used in a sports car.

I know there is a forum member in a 2009 with over 100K miles (I think he's around 110K now) and still on the stock clutch.

However, I drive hard enough that I would not expect that kind of life. 60K-80K is about what I expect, although at the first sign of problems (whether it be the CSC or CMC or clutch itself), I plan to replace the entire clutch system with aftermarket parts.

I pulled the cutch from my 350z at 80k, it was not slippping but it was almost gone, and these miles were hard, I beat the living you know what out of that car. I pulled the clutch from my 370z at 15k haha, its like new.
