Uprev vs Tune Shop

I started looking a tuning options and would like some help clarifying my understanding.

It seems to me that the advantage of Uprev (Osiris Standard) is that you don't have to pay $500-$600 to retune. It looks like it is $500 for the software and then $50 a tune. ?

Are the tunes you can get with Osiris Standard as good, or pretty close?

Thanks.

Once you buy the Uprev license, you can have it tuned wherever you want and just pay the tuner. Most reputable places will charge you less since you've already got the license and cable.

Another huge plus to getting the cable and etunes is that you can reflash back to stock and sell it used if you ever need to, as well as reflash updates yourself if you need to... plus you always have the option of getting dyno tuned later on if you want.

Check out Joe @ Dynotronics and the EcuTek software he's using. You can get an e-tune from him and tweak it as needed for no additional charge (unless you upgrade to FI).

Waaaay off topic there eh? lol:tup:

Plus most people are waiting to see some real proof (AS PROMISED) that ECUTEK is better than Uprev... not to mention all the promised features that are "coming soon".... :shakes head:

For sure less, My retune when I went FI was only 250. :)

Off topic is in my blood :icon17: I only said something because a purchase hadn't been made. Joe gives you the e-tune option for a great price and unlimited tweaks to the tune, which could save some people a lot of money. Joe can tune with either software, but I know which one he'll recommend.

most tunes you get the tuner will want to throw it on the dyno to see if there are any gains or issues at speed. Some will make changes on the fly without checking but that is normally for small tweaks. So look at spending money on labor.
