What does Stalling Exactly Do

The hand brake method messed me up on inclines more than helped. The key is to stay calm and try to do a smooth engagement. Also while it feels like you're rolling back a ton, its not really as far as you think, so long as you're quick to engage. I typically give it a little more revs awhen starting on an incline as well. Also if you're going up your incline drive slowly, do it in first. Then you can feather the clutch until you're in the spot you need to be. Dont lug it in 2nd creeping up the drive.

Don't worry about stalling here and there. I probably stalled 5-10times my first day and it went away after a few days of driving.

I remember stalling at an intersection (not many cars), but was so embarrassed that I took off and shifted 1-2-3 the best I ever had, because I wasn't thinking about it.

My first manual (10yrs ago) I stalled it probably 12 times in the first 3 days. I made my friend drive behind me when I had to go to work so that people wouldn't bitch/see me.

Didn't really stall it much after that.

Then I got the Z... such a different feel that I stalled it several times the first few days too. I constantly catch myself almost stalling, or not shifting perfect (herky jerky feeling) still too.

at most, you will probably just wear out the clutch, honestly dont even worry about it

you will get better, i remember when i first got my Z(it technically is my second manual car but i just learned how to drive stick and i bought my Z so i really learned how to drive on my Z)

heck, i have been driving stick for over a year now and i still stall out every now and then, honestly dont worry about what others think, it happens to everyone driving a manual, no matter how experienced they are

remove the clutch helper spring, it really helps out alot, i was the same way until i removed the spring, now i have nothing but smooth shifts

That was done on day 3 of ownership.
