Because to use the outside clutch assy you have to change a piece of the housing on the transmission to mount the pivot ball for the clutch arm. Disassembling the transmission isn't my idea of fun when I could just put a Z Speed CSC in there and for a DD not change it for a looonnggg time.

This thread is 4 years old and most of these guys haven't logged into the forum in several years. Trying doing a little research. There are tons of threads on this subject - some are even stickied at the top of the list.
You really can't go wrong with either of the ZSpeed options (internal or external).

Mine went to the floor (26,000 miles), drained or should say flushed out fluid and working fine again... flushed a second time to be safe.. works fine?? luck I guess?

Probably your master cylinder; slave cylinder usually fails catastrophically. Dirty clutch fluid contaminants can get in the cylinder seals and allow air into the system. Might be ok for a little while, but it will happen again. And eventually the seals will fail completely.
