F1 Racing Clutch Kit...
anyone know anything about the F1 Racing clutch kits? goods and bads? im looking to buy a new clutch soon so im just getting reviews right now.
should i get F1 racing stage 2 or competition clutch stage 2? |
What you do, is call Joe@ZSpeed, you tell him what you want and need, and buy what he recommends because his prices are great

Haven't heard of them. There's a lot of established brands for sale through vendors on the forum. I would go with something that people have used with success, and not go too far off the beaten path. I've got a Spec and I'm happy with it. I'd call the guys at Zspeed and let them talk to you about options.

DE types faster than I do.

I just bought a F1 Clutch & Flywheel off ebay for a Turbo Honda that I am building.
It was $169.00 and free shipping.. Supposed to hold up to 250whp.. Didn't know much about the brand, but the package deal was in budget for my friend. |

He got the car from his grandma '96 1.6 4 Door Vtec Civic with 127hp for $500. It has 200k on the motor but interior is flawless. We bought EVERYTHING: clutch, turbo kit, flywheel, wideband, fuel rail, bigger intercooler, etc.. for $1,120.. So many DIY's online, most people end up with 200-240whp depending on the tune. We hope to get his to about 180-200whp But $1500-1600, cheap and fun project - He calls it, "project f*c* honda" |
To me that would have been project "free daily driver" and something not FWD would get my mod money. You could also call it "Project about to be stolen".

my brother had bought a f1 a few years for dirt cheap on ebay for his sr20det and did not hold power at all. only mods he had at that time was exhaust and intake. i'd say spend a few more $$ and get a decent one
