Since my oil change last Thursday night I've driven over 800 miles and have not once had the oil temp reach above 220. The hottest I've seen it so far is about 215-218.

I drove 300 mostly highway miles on Saturday morning through a mix of rolling hills and a mountain pass and the oil temp seemed to settle in right at 215. I went on a spirited mountain drive later in the day and saw only a tick higher.

I seem to remember my temps averaging a little bit over 220 on a sustained highway trip... not sure if this is a result of the oil change or other factors.
