B&M short shift linkage broke.

I searched for a bit tonight before posting but didn't find anything. Thought I would share for a min. So I'm driving home in the rain and finally get of the interstate to normal roads. I pull up to the light and wait for it to change green.... When It changes the shifter literally comes undone and is floating free in the shift boot not attached to anything. I push the car to the shoulder and try to look around but it is dark...I see no bolts or linkage on the ground or hanging down anywhere.... Has anyone else had this happen? I am going to call the dealer up tomorrow and find out what they say. I'm sure they are going to say something about the aftermarket shifter.

I did notice that the last few days it has been a PITA to put in reverse.... Now it's broke. Nothing like being in a. Race car and having to push it off the road to a gas station and let it sit overnight.... Horrible. :-(

I have a B&M but I have never had that happen. Check the linkage bolt, the bolt that attaches the shifter to the car, a friend of mine had that break on him in his 240z once.

That's what it looked like. B&M said send us a pic and we will send you a new one.... Waiting for a response.... Oh yeah..and the dealer... They wanted me to tow it to them so they could look at it. Bump that.

Yep, that's toast. That's a wierd place for it to break though.
