No problem ! Glad we could all help..

My only concern is that the temperature probe may block/restrict the oil flow if inserted too deeply into the fitting. You may have to extend the 1/8" NPT fitting, so the probe will not impede oil flow.

DriftKr6l 05-22-2013 11:43 AM

yeah, I dont think a temp probe would even fit without an extension

I guess this could also be used with a pressure sensor to get oil pressure?

This. I'm going to run one on each side of the oil cooler (pressure and temp)

That's a neat idea. What kind of guage(s) would you use?

DriftKr6l 05-22-2013 02:45 PM

Good call, attached is a pic of the temp sending unit, I will defiantly use an extension of some kind. I might be able to get away with out an extension but why risk it.

DriftKr6l 05-23-2013 09:00 AM

Thats the ones I chose :) I hope its a "REAL" Japanese stepper motor :P
Except for the volt, that one is just the normal kind.

alright folks this is going to work great.

A tee gives the sensor a nice path to the oil which should make it accurate and responsive.

Test fit, all I need is a cap.
