Well, I don't have a Sprint Booster to say for certain. It sounds like it will help you get to full throttle faster when putting the pedal to the floor at low RPMs, but it won't decrease the time required for your transmission to shift.

i'm curious how these "Sprint-Booster's" work in conjuction from a good dyno tune,,,i've seen the sprint booster video & it looks impressive on throttle response,,,but myquestion is? can you get the same throttle response from a tune/just can't select the aggressiveness?? input welcome.

If you already have uprev then why not have the tuner just make a more aggressive throttle map? Inwent the ecutek route and couldn't imagine a more aggressive throttle, actually seriously considering making it a little slower at just off idle.

Sprint Booster (stirring the pot)
I know people have been all over this.A little more debate on this cold morning.I have a twin turbo roadster with built 7speed AMT.I like a very light pedal.Have ecutek tune with a light pedal response.Had Sprint booster on before turbos. After driving for some time with turbos and no sprint booster.I put the sprint booster back on.I dont know if it is the placebo effect or what.
I love this product. You have to try it before you disregard it. |

Debate that never dies
I see on other current posts people still argue about the Sprint Booster.
People who have it on their cars like it. Those who do not have say it is junk. |

It's funny how people who don't have it have a negative opinion. That doesn't make sense to me.
Trust me, it works. If you dont have a tune, the difference is tremendous.

Just because I have never had one on my Z or tried one on my Z doesn't mean I've never had one or used one on other vehicles. It's funny how people assume the ones who have negative options about such products have never had experiences with said products at some point in their lives. On previous vehicles, stock and modded, I tried two different fully adjustable plug-in units, and another vehicle where I had it flash tuned into the ECU. It was a nice little novelty for the first week. After that first week in everyday driving, it was simply annoying. Like I said in the other thread, with proper breather mods and a proper tune, there's absolutely ZERO lag of any kind in my throttle response, nor is my throttle touchy or jerky at low speeds. Anyway, whatever floats your boat. I just prefer doing things the right way and not using band aids.

I didn't use a sprint booster on my 370z, but I drove a C6Z06 at track with it, it was annoying, couldn't get smooth throttle inputs at exits, always trying to get little throttle but suddenly BANG over half throttle, as I saw, it removes the linear feel of throttle.
Lightweight flywheel and a tune is better to retain linear throttle but with quicker response.

True car enthusiasts don't use such devices. I can't believe people use these on the Z much less a Z06!

I had one before my car was tuned and loved it. Car was tuned (which, I felt, made it unnecessary) and I sold it. Using a Sprint Booster doesn't make you any more or less a car enthusiast.

Let's agree to disagree on that one. Besides, you did the smart thing and got rid of it, so no need to feel offended by anything I say about those things.

I wouldn't say sprint booster is totally useless, it could be great for legal roll races , you can reach 100% throttle much sooner if your reaction is a little slow.
But for street or track, I wouldn't go this route.
